Happy Friday people! This week I’ll be hoping on tunes from 2 artists on opposite spectrum of the popularity scale, but nonetheless still talented acts.
Let’s not get into too much story.
Fuse ODG – Dangerous Love ft. Sean Paul
MOBO award winner, Fuse ODG has been arguably one of Africa’s biggest exports in terms of music over the last couple of years, and his tunes Antenna and Azonto have reached ridiculous heights. Based on the huge amount of success he’s had I thought that maybe this new joint wouldn’t live up to high standards set by his previous singles. I was wrong.
Dangerous Love, which features Jamaican Dancehall King, Sean Paul is everything the song was meant to be and then some. The beat by Di Genius & KillBeatz is solid, the quality is top notch, the lyrics are exactly what they are meant to be to get you in the groove and follow along. Simply put, the song was designed to get you happy and dancing, and it does just that.
It’s yet to be seen if it’ll be as infectious as Antenna and Azonto, but it has all the makings of it.

CJ Mama – Sisi Jojo ft. Dwana
CJ Mama didn’t win the Glo Rock n Rule music competition by mistake, and it shows very much so in this new joint, Sisi Jojo.
A nice tempo, highlife-makossa hybrid, the song has very playful lyrics that is very easy to enjoy. The production by Reflex Soundz complements the lyrics of the song very, and everything comes together pretty well.
The song does get a bit monotonous as it goes on and it’s not a song that will particularly ‘wow’ you per say, but it’s good enough to remember and add to the playlist. It can only get better from here on out for CJ Mama.
